Reborn Wiki
Reborn Wiki is a resource for reborners everywhere. Unlike other reborn websites the content is produced by the site members to share with other reborners for the enjoyment and benefit of us all.
Reborn Wiki has now been up and running for a couple of weeks. We have already had some good information added covering areas such as:
There other areas that it would be great to see more information, but which are currently fairly empty, such as manufacturers and sculptors.
Remember, Rebornwiki needs your help, if you think the site is missing some useful piece of information about reborning or you see something highlighted in red then let your creative juices go wild. Reborners are an incredibly creative community so why not turn those talents to writing a page about you, your nursery, your favourite sculpt or your favourite manufacturer. Please try to keep what you write in the third person - remember it's a reference for all not your page of a website.
Anyone can edit pages, although if you want to upload pictures you do need to be a member - memberships is free and takes about 30seconds to set up. Editing pages is roughly as easy as using a word processor - and there are some links at the bottom of this page to help to get you started.
Getting started
The Wiki is still new and we are encouraging anyone and everyone who thinks they have something useful to add to have a go at creating or editing wiki content.
There's lots of great information available on the Internet about how to write wiki pages, and there's really little more to it and than typing text in a browser window covering whatever the topic is that you want to talk about. You might want to start with creating a new page or alternatively you might want to edit a page that someone else has already created. The wiki is also configured to allow registered users to Upload images. Why not type a reborning topic of interest into the search box on the left and see what it comes back with, if there isn't something already there then why need be the first person to write something about that topic!
At the bottom of every page please remember to add a category tab, this should look like [[Category:Category name]]
What's a wiki
The definitive wiki is wikipedia and they have a very good explanation of just what a wiki is about for anyone who wants to read it. In general terms a wiki is a website that lets anyone who uses it add or edit webpages, usually using a special sort of web editor. They are often used for websites where a community of users would like to come together to create a shared website that they can all contribute to and all benefit from.
